    Join us for a specialized 100 Hour yin-yang yoga teacher training at the world famous Yoga Barn. During this 11 day intensive we’ll dive deep into the practice of yin yoga, myofascial release and myofascial elasticity. This training will count as 100 hours towards the Yoga Alliance advanced 300 hour certification.

    A Yin-Yang is a symbol for balance between two opposite energies. Sun/Moon, Masculine/Feminine, Fire/Water, Strength/Surrender. Every human has both yin and yang energies within them that can be harnessed for good and radiated towards others.

    The key to unlocking these energies can be found in the exploration of fascia. Fascia is the network that brings all of the body together. It’s the gateway to the energetic body.

    We’ll explore the foundational poses of yin yoga, as popularized by Paul Grilley and Sara Powers. We’ll also combine these teachings with elements of the 5 major fascial lines as discovered by Tom Myers in his groundbreaking book “Anatomy Trains”.

    You’ll learn to structure and sequence a yin yoga class using the major fascial lines. And discover basic techniques for myofascial release with ball therapy and foam rolling.

    As a student, you can expect to release years of tension and stress (who doesn’t need that after 2020?), and have a structure to teach it to others.

    The Yang portion of the training focuses on myofascial elasticity movements. This is a very exciting and new technique being developed within the movement community that adds a vital “missing link” to traditional vinyasa practices.

    Elastic movements are basically “pulses” designed to specifically target different parts of the body. This creates a tremendous amount of heat and strength in the body, while doing very simple movements. It opens up the body and creates more mobility and youthful “bounce” to a practice. Think yoga meets martial arts and barre method. Incorporating elastic movement to a yoga practice is a game changer, whether your practice is beginners or advanced.

    The training will also include exercises to help us cultivate the divine masculine and feminine energies within each of us. You’ll practice speaking with vulnerability and assertiveness to find your authentic voice. This practice helps enhance relationships, leadership qualities and confidence.

    Upon completion of the 100 hours, you can expect to have a deeper understanding of yin yoga, myofascial release, and elastic mobility exercises. You can also expect significant shifts in your asana and meditation practice, your public speaking, and your understanding of the myofascial lines and how they relate to the energetic body.
