Meet Your Retreat Leaders
Alyssa Goldberg
Alyssa (RYT 500) is originally from Los Angeles, CA where she first began practicing yoga over a decade ago. While first introduced by her parents (to whom she is very grateful), it wasn't until her first visit to Bali in 2018 that her practice and life transformed.
Previously challenged by a world that asked her to fit in just one box, her yoga mat became a home that allowed her to find home within. Her background in storytelling and music have not been left behind, but rather have become tools with which she enhances her classes. After studying extensively with Paul and Byron, Alyssa is humbled to be a part of the teaching team. She leads classes, workshops, and trainings full-time both here in Bali, and around the world.
Alyssa's teaching philosophy is based on her own practice -- show up just as you are. She supports each student in finding their unique edge day to day. Her classes are known for being dynamic and strong with an energetic warmth that invites deeper connection to body, mind and soul.
Phil Kowalik
Phil Kowalik is a power yoga teacher from Toronto, Canada. Upon graduation, Phil started teaching right away in Uluwatu, Bali and eventually quit the corporate life to focus on what he loves to do, which is practise and teach yoga.
His teaching style focuses on simplicity, proper alignment, mindfulness and awareness of breath. Yoga has dramatically improved Phil’s physical wellness and has helped him develop strong mental and emotional stability.
Anyone practicing with him will experience an increase in their mental and physical awareness and well-being.
