Byron de Marsé.jpg

Byron de Marsé (E-RYT) 500

Born and raised on an Oklahoma cattle ranch, Byron was destined to believe that simplicity is the key component of happiness. After losing his father at a pivotal time and experiencing a traumatic spiral of events he was introduced to yoga. A strong and deep spiritual connection was realized shortly thereafter.

After his YTT certification under senior teachers Rudy Mettia and Travis Eliot in 2010, he immediately started teaching at Bryan Kest’s world famous Power Yoga studio and still does. He continued his education with Schuyler Grant and Wanderlust in Hollywood. He now has over 10,000 hours of teaching experience along with leading several retreats around the world with Paul Teodo.

The four major points he stresses in class are proper alignment, mindfulness of physical limits, deepness of breath, and calmness of mind. Yoga has dramatically improved Byron’s physical wellness and has helped him develop strong mental and emotional stability. Anyone practicing with him will experience an increase mental and physical awareness and well-being. Practitioners will also slow the process of aging by increasing their cardiovascular health, decreasing toxicity and stagnation in the body and improving the functions of the 5 major systems of the body.

Paul Teodo (E-RYT 500)

Paul Teodo is a yoga and meditation teacher and musician from the USA. Paul received his YTT certification through YogaWorks, studying under David Kim and Jesse Schein. Paul spent 5 years there, and at other studios in LA building a reputation as one of the best young teachers in Los Angeles. He continued to study with senior teachers Sara Ivanhoe, Travis Eliot, Bryan Kest, Steve Ross, and meditation under Dr. Lorin Roche.

Paul has taught approximately 5000 yoga classes. He was named the #1 Yoga Teacher in Los Angeles in 2016 by the Culture Trip. In 2017 he moved to Indonesia with his partner and got hired at the world famous Yoga Barn in Ubud.

He currently leads workshops, classes and retreats all over the world, teaches a full schedule in Bali, and has released 2 albums of instrumental meditation music.

SUPPORTING TEACHERS

Chiara Janssen

Chiara (RYT 500) is a dedicated yoga and meditation instructor with international teaching experience. Trained by renowned teachers Paul Teodo and Byron De Marsé in a 200-hour YTT, and further honing her skills with a 150-hour Meditation Teacher Training under Leah Santa Cruz, she has taught in the Netherlands and Australia.

She specializes in women’s wellness through yoga, meditation, and women’s circles. Her teaching is marked by her adaptability, personal engagement, and a deep commitment to mentoring others. Her teaching style is warm, encouraging, and playful.

Chiara is proficient in both Dutch and English, and guides students as they start teaching in English. She’s dedicated to empowering others and helping them find their voice.

Alyssa Goldberg

Alyssa (RYT 500) is originally from Los Angeles, CA where she first began practicing yoga over a decade ago. While first introduced by her parents (to whom she is very grateful), it wasn't until her first visit to Bali in 2018 that her practice and life transformed.

Previously challenged by a world that asked her to fit in just one box, her yoga mat became a home that allowed her to find home within. Her background in storytelling and music have not been left behind, but rather have become tools with which she enhances her classes.

After studying extensively with Paul and Byron, Alyssa is humbled to be a part of the teaching team. She leads classes, workshops, and trainings full-time both here in Bali, and around the world.

Alyssa's teaching philosophy is based on her own practice -- show up just as you are. She supports each student in finding their unique edge day to day. Her classes are known for being dynamic and strong with an energetic warmth that invites deeper connection to body, mind and soul.

Vijeth Kumar

Fortunate to be born into a family where everybody was aware of Yoga and Vedanta, Vijeth has been witnessing the branches of yoga since the moment of birth. Early in life, he was introduced to the great yogi Sri Niranjana Saraswati, and the humbleness of his power sowed a seed inside him.

Later on, he decided to follow his sister and became a student of BNS Iyengar in Mysore, walking the path of Ashtanga Vinyasa. His devotion to yoga led him to post-graduation in yogic sciences and human consciousness at Mangalore University. After over a decade of teaching at all levels of yoga training around the world, he understood that every individual needs special guidance and attention to bloom.

Akshay Bhat

I embarked on my yoga journey at Gurukula, a Vedic yoga education school, where I delved into the healing aspects of Hatha yoga. My studies included the Yoga Sutras and Vedic mantras, culminating in a bachelor's degree in Yogic Sciences.

Yoga has profoundly transformed me physically, mentally, and emotionally, enabling me to become the best version of myself. I specialize in classical Hatha yoga, pranayama, meditation, and embodied yoga flows, dedicated to sharing these ancient practices for holistic well-being.
